CWS CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC. is requesting subcontractor bids for the Santa Rosa City Schools Multi-Campus Perimeter Fencing & Gates Package, a public works project subject to California prevailing wage requirements, which consists of the demolition of existing perimeter fencing and gates and the construction of new perimeter fencing and gates at four (4) Santa Rosa City Schools campuses, including the following scope:

     Chain link, ornamental metal, and welded wire mesh fencing systems

     Pedestrian, maintenance, convenience, vehicle, and pole gates with associated hardware

     Concrete footings; concrete and asphalt patching at removed footings

     Bollards, pavement striping, and ISA / directional signage

     Maria Carrillo High School — 6975 Montecito Boulevard, Santa Rosa, CA 95409 (DSA-Approved

     Luther Burbank Elementary School — 203 South A Street, Santa Rosa, CA 95401 (DSA-Approved)

     Elsie Allen High School — 599 Bellevue Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95407 (50% CD; DSA approval pending — DSA Modification Allowance carried by CWS)

Interested subcontractors shall submit bids on or before June 2nd, by 2:00 PM PT, to CWS Construction Group, Inc., 1301 Grant Avenue, Suite B, Novato, CA 94945, Attn: Charlie Slack, Estimator. Bids will be accepted via email at estimator@cwsconstructiongroup.com. Each subcontractor is responsible for ensuring that the bid is received by the date and time stated above. Bidders shall provide a single Lump-Sum Total Base Bid for the entire four-campus package, with pricing broken out by campus.

PUBLIC WORKS / PREVAILING WAGE PROJECT. This is a public works project subject to California prevailing wage requirements. All subcontractors shall comply with California Labor Code Sections 1720 et seq. (prevailing wages), including the payment of prevailing wages, the submission of certified payroll records, and apprenticeship requirements pursuant to California Labor Code Sections 1777.5 and 1777.7. Each subcontractor shall comply with the registration and qualification requirements of California Labor Code Sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, and shall be a current registered public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) at the time of bid submission and throughout the term of the subcontract.

Each subcontractor's California Contractor's License(s) must be active and in good standing at the time of bid and must remain so throughout the term of the subcontract. C-13 (Fencing) is the primary classification for the fencing scope; bidders performing other trade scopes shall hold the appropriate corresponding classification. Bidders shall also comply with the California Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act (Public Contract Code § 4100 et seq.) for any lower-tier sub-subcontract exceeding the statutory threshold.

Last day for RFIs is May 27, 2026, end of day. RFIs must be submitted in writing to the contact below. Responses will be issued via addendum to all known bidders. No mandatory pre-bid walk is scheduled; site visits are by appointment only — coordinate through the CWS contact below.
