INVITATION TO BID:

TO: All POTENTIAL MBE/WBE/DBE/SBE/LBE/DVBE SUBCONTRACTORS, SUPPLIERS, MANUFACTURERS & TRUCKERS

PROJECT: Pinole Creek Bank Erosion Repair. Project #: 7352-6D9N03

OWNER: Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water District
 
Kamalani Construction, Inc. is requesting sub-bids from qualified MBE/WBE/OBE/SBE/LBE/DVBE subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers & truckers to bid on the upcoming project. Please bid on the upcoming project with the Contra County Flood Control and Water District Bidding on 4/14/2026 by 2pm. Good Faith Effort Required. Please provide your rates/proposal no later than 4/10/2026 by 3 pm to ensure our team receives it & has an opportunity to review it thoroughly to include with our bid.

The work generally consists of reconstructing the east bank of Pinole Creek located between Henry Avenue and I-80, in the City of Pinole. Work includes excavation, clearing and grubbing, embankment reconstruction, placement of soil-filled rock slope protection, temporary creek diversion and dewatering, temporary traffic control, hydroseeding, and pavement reconstruction.

For the following: (but not limited to) work: construction staking, traffic control, construction area signs, water pollution control, clearing and grubbing, trucking, temporary fence and chain link fence, roadway excavation, hydroseed, geotextile, rock slope protection, asphalt, minor concrete, guardrail system, guardrail removal.

Requirements: 100% performance & payment bonds may be required for the full amount of the subcontract price.

Subcontractors must possess a valid contractor's license, DIR registration number, and current insurance meeting Kamalani Construction's requirements. Subcontractors will be required to sign the standard Kamalani Construction Inc, Subcontract Agreement. Quotations must be valid for one hundred and twenty (120) days after the specified Contract Award Date by the Owner. Please call if you need assistance in obtaining bonding, insurance, equipment, materials and/or supplies for more information. Kamalani Construction, Inc. will work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project.

** All items are open for bid, including items of work normally performed by Kamalani Construction Inc. Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary. Kamalani Construction, Inc. will work with interested DBE, SBE, WBE, MBE, LBE and DVBE subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.
