ADVERTISEMENT FOR SUBCONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 

The goal of this project is to reduce nutrients in the Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant effluent to 15 mg/L by 2039.
 
The scope will include but is not limited to structural concrete, underground utilities, mechanical piping, process equipment, hardscaping, landscaping and irrigation, earthwork, electrical, MEP, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and miscellaneous architectural scopes.
 
SUBCONSULTANTS/SUBCONTRACTORS PARTICIPATION:
 
Sundt Construction, with design partner Carollo, invites Statements of Qualifications from all firms as well as LBE or DBE certified firms for a proposed Progressive Design-Build contract. The project includes significant nutrient removal and process upgrades at the Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant in San Francisco for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.

Certifications Accepted
LBE certification from San Francisco Contract Monitoring Division; DBE certification from USEPA, SBA, Caltrans State implemented DBE Certification Program (with U.S. citizenship), Tribal, State, and Local governments, and Independent private organization certifications.

DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) REQUIREMENTS: We seek strong participation from the small business community, including:
• Local Business Enterprises
• Minority Business Enterprises
• Women-Owned Business Enterprises
• Other Business Enterprises (i.e. DBE, DVBE, SBE)

All LBEs must be listed on the City of San Francisco directory of LBE, LBE-PUC, and NPE certified firms.

Proposers must agree to comply with the Local Business Enterprise (“LBE”) requirements and San Francisco Labor and Employment Code Article 131 and in accordance with City of San Francisco Administrative Code.

Project Labor Agreement (PLA) as well prevailing wage regulations are mandatory.

Licensing and Registration
Subcontractors must provide a current California contractor license number and a current DIR registration number. All interested subcontractors, please indicate all lower tier DBE/LBE participation offered on your qualification as it will be evaluated.

Procurement Note
This request is for professional design and technical support. If our team is selected, we will run a separate procurement for construction work at a later stage. Subcontractors and suppliers are invited to express interest in future bid packages. We will add all inquiries to our database for future consideration.
