Project Description:
The North Terminal Shore Power Project will provide state of the art electrical infrastructure and electrical-grid-base connection allowing Roll-on/Roll-off Ocean going vessels to shut down diesel auxiliary engines while at berth, connect into shore power, and effectively eliminate vessel diesel emissions while at berth. The scope of this project includes: demolition and removal work; installation of electrical equipment, underground and under wharf conduits, brackets, conductors, terminations, shore power connection interface equipment, electrical switchgear, neutral grounding resistors, NGR selector switch, transformers, panels, lighting, fencing, stripping, grading, guard posts, and all other work as shown on the project plans and specifications; trench, de-water, shoring, backfill, and resurface excavated areas to match existing pavement; Fill, compact, and grade voids and excavations caused by the demolition and removal work; grading of the work area; installation of prefabricated building; Install SCE infrastructure; apply dust control agent over graded area; Site cleaning and removal of debris, equipment, and excess material from the sites upon completion of work; Install shore power system; Other work.
